How Does It Work?   less

Submit a recipe (or as many as you’d like!) to compete head-to-head with one of ours on taste and nutrition. We welcome all family hand-me-down or original recipes!

When you fill out the entry form, you will select your New England Country Soup “competitor”… We have divided our New England Country Soup flavors into three groups: (1) Cream-based, (2) with Meat Protein, and (3) Vegetarian. You need to determine the group where your recipe fits, then choose one of the New England Country Soup flavors in that group against which you will compete.

How (and What!) Do I Win?   less

Five finalists will be selected to participate in the Midwest Soup Challenge final, which will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013. More details to come.

Three (3) finalists will be chosen by popular vote, and two (2) will be selected by New England Country Soup based on the originality of their recipes and the creativity of the story/inspiration behind their recipes.

To win by vote, we encourage you to use Facebook, Twitter, email, blogs, etc. to spread the word about your recipe to friends and family. To win by New England Country Soup selection, we encourage you to include a photo (or video!) and story behind the recipe when you enter.

The five (5) Midwest finalists will receive a Soup Challenge Gift Basket with New England Country Soup and culinary-inspired prizes. The grand prize winner will receive a “splurge weekend getaway for two.” at the luxurious Hob Knob hotel on Martha’s Vineyard.

In the meantime, a picture is worth a thousand words! Here is last year’s winner–Elinor Ives–enjoying her weekend getaway with her husband!
